You convinced me to purchase the Dewalt DW745 table saw I am a new woodworker, and have been really finding some things difficult due to the lack of a table saw. However, after seeing so many posts on the Dewalt DW745 table saw at Home Depot yesterday, I couldn't resist.
The DeWalt DW745 is the smallest and lightest jobsite table saw made by DeWalt. It is the smaller brother of the DWE7491 and DWE7492.
Fence
The fence is the best feature of the DW745, and a class above the fences found on most other table saws in this price category. It is secured both front and back to avoid flex, and can be moved over a rack and pinion system. The position can be fine-tuned by moving three pairs of set screws that are in the rails.
Price
One of the key selling points of the DW745 used to be its price. However, in recent times it has increased quite a bit, making it slightly less attractive. But it is still one of the more affordable decent quality table saws.

The mitre gauge that comes with the saw is quite poor. It has no stops for remembering angles, so you have to reset and recalibrate it every time you change the angle.

Another problem is that if you want to replace the standard mitre gauge with a higher quality one, most don't fit the mitre slot. Please leave a comment if you have found a good mitre gauge that fits the slot of the DW745.
